Project
17
Imagine sneaking into a haunted old mental hospital with a
crew of six people. You are there trying to win tons of money from wining this
film contest. Every minute you are there the scarier things get like: doors
getting locked, windows getting, and spooky noises behind each and every door
they go through. Laurie Faria Stolarz the author of Project 17 did a
great job painting a picture in your mind and writing the whole book in six
different points of view.
During the whole book the author put these great descriptive
words in so you can really get what is going on in the book. It made me feel
like I was the person everything was happening to. It was like I could image
them opening a door as the hinges creek because of old age. Plus the creaking
floor boards that are warped out of place were squealing. These are just a few
things that he made me feel like it was happing right in front of me.
Besides putting the scenery in your mind he created six main
characters: Derik, Mimi, Greta, Tony, Chet, and Liza. Each one of them have
completely different personalizes. The best part is that you can at least
connect to one of them. Some of them have passions to act or film or play
basketball. Three of them even risked their lives for a doll.
Don’t read this book if someone said it was a good book.
Read this book because the way it connects with almost everyone’s life. This
book had pictures in your mind the whole book the way it connects to you.
