Authors note: after thinking
and thinking of something to write about I finally came to a conclusion when
doing soccer drills. I am going to do a poem on my favorite sport, soccer. I am
not a poet so please leave some comment on how I did and how I can improve.
Soccer
He is sprinting down the field with the ball at his feet.
Flies by one then one more.
One left the keeper
With a burst of speed he busts a move and there it is
What everyone wants to see….
An open goal with the ball at your feet and no one in your way.
What to do kick it hard
Or super soft
Or maybe even dribble it in the goal.
Thousand of thoughts through my mind in just seconds.
He kicks it as hard as anyone could
Who is this you might ask
Every step I take in soccer is a moment to remember.
I like it! My only suggestion is to add question marks after the lines that are questions. For example, line 7 is "What to do kick it hard" should be "What to do, kick it hard?" Same thing with lines 8, 9, and 12.
